Fossil completes final commissioning of the BMS/DCS controls and instrumentation at the 14 Wing Greenwood Central Heating Plant.

Fossil has successfully completed the final commissioning of the BMS/DCS controls and instrumentation at the 14 Wing Greenwood Central Heating Plant in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. Complete plant controls, including BMS/DCS controls for each boiler, plant common controls and the associated operator interface were designed, supplied, and commissioned for the new three burner heating plant.

In addition to the plant controls, the contract included the design, supply and commissioning of oil burner and gas ignitor valve trains for each boiler, a heavy (no.6) oil pumping and heating valve skid and a light (no.2) oil pumping skid. The contract also included the supply and commissioning of the majority of the plant instrumentation including Fossil gas ignitors, flame scanners and Aquarian drum level columns.
