AEC Lowman Plant Ash Handling System Upgrade

Fossil Power has successfully completed the upgrading of the PLC system for the Fly Ash Handling Plant at the AEC Lowman Generating Station located in Leroy, Alabama. This upgrade included controls for a new Filter/Collector system supplied and installed by B&W. The control utilizes an Allen Bradley PLC-5 and uses Allen Bradley PanelView Stations as the Operator Interface device. Performance testing was successfully completed in April of 2006.
