FPS has been awarded the contract to supply ignitors for a 1300 MW utility boiler at the American Electric Power (AEP) Rockport plant in Indiana.

The contract also includes the supply of ignitor valve rack/control cabinet assemblies featuring pre-programmed controllers to control ignitor and valve operation.

Over the past decade, FPS has supplied similar equipment for over 15 boilers at AEP plants, including four 1300 MW units at the Amos, Gavin and Mountaineer plants. Besides ignitors, valves and ignitor controls, FPS has also provided air register control and graphically interfaced operator workstations for some these installations.
