Successful completion of ignitors, gas valves and controls upgrade at Consolidated Edison of New York’s East River plant.
Fossil personnel and plant staff commissioned new hardware and a burner/ignitor control system at Con Ed’s East River plant in December 2005.
The project included the design supply, and commissioning of burner and ignitor controls, boiler front control/operator interface panels, main flame scanners, natural gas ignitors, double block & vent valve trains for ignitors, and a duplex blower providing air for both ignitors and scanners. The new controls interface with the original boiler control system and with the boiler’s Ovation™ system.
