(Southern Co.) Alabama Power – Gaston Station, chooses Fossil Equipment for Unit # 1.

In 2006, Gaston Plant purchased two unit’s worth of Fossil Oil Ignitors, Fuel and Air Supply Valve Trains with Fossil Valves and Controls, as well as a Duplex Blower Skid for redundancy in Cooling and Combustion Air. In October of this year, they awarded the third order, though Babcock and Wilcox, to Fossil Power for an identical scope of equipment for Unit #1.
