New Boiler Equipment for Wisconsin's Weston Generating Station.

FPS is nearing the end of production of main flame scanners, ignitor flame scanners and a duplex cooling air blower skid for Wisconsin Public Service's new boiler. The Babcock & Wilcox boiler will be the fourth unit at the Weston Generating Station.

Fossil's Spectrum VIR VI fiber- optic flame scanners are being used to monitor the coal main flame and gas ignitor flames on the opposed wall boiler. The Fossil scanner is able to provide unparalleled flame detection and discrimination on the most difficult applications. The VIR VI scanners are equipped to interface directly with B&W's Flame Doctor^TM burner diagnostics system.
