Nova Scotia Power's Lingan Flyash / Sootblower Upgrades to Controls

Fossil Power has been awarded the contract to upgrade the Sootblower Controls for all four (4) Units at the Lingan Generating Station in Nova Scotia. The new control systems will be integrated into the existing Fossil Power System DCS. The upgrade of the flyash controls into Fossil's plant common DCS is a part of this project. The upgrades will utilize the Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) ControlLogix Programmable Automation Controller Platform, as well as the ControlLogix Hardware. Delivery and start-up for these systems are slated for the fall of 2006.
