Founder and President - Fossil Power Systems (FPS)
John's career in the power generation industry spanned over 45 years, but it was his 32 year career as founder and president of Fossil Power Systems, where he really left his mark.
With John's ingenuity and work ethic, and supported by his business partner Tim Stott, FPS has evolved into an International leader in the design and supply of boiler control systems and instrumentation, and firing equipment. John has designed and patented many of the technologies currently being used worldwide in ignition products, flame detectors, and level measurement devices.
John was a true leader and innovator, recently being nominated by his peers for a Canadian Entrepreneurship award. John's latest projects expanded into the use of alternative energy, including wind and solar heating.
Above all, John was a friend and mentor to many, both professionally and personally. He will be remembered as someone who was always fun to be around, whether at his hunting camp, on the golf course, playing hockey, surfing, or hosting one of his many lobster parties at FPS.
