December 28, 2001 - Fossil Power Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the successful installation and commissioning of forty Oil Horn Ignitors complete with Plasma Arc Ignitors (PAI), at Ontario Power Generation’s (OPG) Lennox Generating Station. The ignitors were installed on unit 1, which has a 500MW CE boiler.

Previously, Fossil had installed fiber-optic main flame scanners on all four units at the plant. The installation was successful in improving the flame scanning of the multiple fuel (gas and oil), tangentially fired burners.
