May 2003 - FPS has been contracted to supply burner management systems, VIR VI flame scanners and gas ignitors for two Norske Canada plants. Both plants have similar FPS equipment installed on some of their boilers and are currently upgrading more boilers with FPS equipment.

May 2003 - Fossil Power Systems Inc. (FPS) is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract to supply the balance of the field instrumentation for the CFB Greenwood Steam Plant Project. FPS had previously been contracted to supply the Plant Controls and Valve Skids for this project for three 35,000PPH package boilers.

FPS has been awarded the contract to supply ignitors for a 1500 MW utility boiler at the American Electric Power (AEP) Rockport plant in Indiana.

We are pleased to announce the release of FPS's new dual fuel ignitor, to fire gas and light oil, in a smaller guide sleeve to fit into new low Nox burner designs.

FPS is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract to supply the FPS designed and manufactured Retractable Oil Ignitors and our VIR VI Flame Scanners for NB Power’s Coleson Cove Generating Station in Saint John, New Brunswick.
