February 26, 2003 – Fossil Power Systems Inc. (FPS) is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract to supply the FPS designed and manufactured Retractable Oil Ignitors and our VIR VI Flame Scanners for NB Power’s Coleson Cove Generating Station in Saint John, New Brunswick.

FPS is providing a total of 72 Retractable Oil Ignitors which will include FPS’ PAI (Plasma Arc Ignition) System, and our SPECTRUM VIR VI, which offers industry leading performance in flame detection and discrimination.

The NB Power Coleson Cove upgrade includes converting its primary fuel source from oil to Orimulsion. The generating station has 3 – 350mW Babcock & Wilcox Boilers providing a total of 1050mW for the Province of New Brunswick.

NB Power expects that the upgrades will be completed by November 2004.
